Switzerland Views.

This post will be quite large as i have not posted for a while and well i think you want an information overload, no?

This post contains the last views from surval windows and the lake geneva paddle boats..

^^Here is the mountain that retains snow throughout the year, I don't know if you are able to see it, but the cloud has a red tinge.

^^ This is the moon reflecting through the clouds. BEAUTIFUL.

^^ Two rainbows over lake geneva, switzerland MUST mean good luck right?
I was considering chasing it to the end to see if i could get some gold... :D

^^ Lake Geneva and the swell old town of Montreux, busy at night.
Actually, Switzerland has a strict "no noise after 10pm."

^^ Just before the sunset hits.
LAKE GENEVA. Lake Geneva is the second largest fresh water lake in all of Europe. 60% belonging to Switzerland and 40% to France . It is now considered safe to swim in the lake, however in the 1960's it was unsafe, with the poulution levels so high nearly wiping out all the fish and having zero sight while in the submarine.

^^ Louise and I (in the grey) with QUEEN star, Freddy Mercury.

^^ Swimming in the lake. They say a picture tells a thousand words.
This picture says that the water is freezing and i am swimming as fast as humanly possible back to the paddle boat.

^^ With the View.

^^ Agian, with the View.
INSTITUT VILLA PIERREFEU.
"With more than 50 years of experience, Institut Villa Pierrefeu is a traditional Finishing School of the type the world expects from Switzerland. Elegant, exclusive and charming, it will prepare you for a role in the business world and society , aiming to help you become more effective in multicultural environments and dealings."
Okay, So here i am at a new start. Institut Villa Pierrefeu... Although i have attended the past six months here, now its different. Living somewhere, Living with somebody is always different to being with them. New Girls, New Rules, New System.
So far, My room is good. It has an open study area for the five girls that are split into two rooms. Helen (England) Canda (Turkey) Ana Cecilia (Mexico) Shanelle (USA) and Me (Australia). So not only do we all come from different regions of the world, our cultures are different.
I have become friends with Helen and Shanelle the most, they are both amazing girls however, only here for three weeks, leaving tomorrow, shame really.
It has been two weeks, I have had my hostess exam.
What is a hostess Exam? A Hostess exam is were one (in this case, moi) makes flower decorations, makes napkins, sets out menu cards and placement cards and holds a conversation. She is based on her table conversation skills to uphold a conversation, avoid taboo subjects and also on the way she presents herself. Sounds like a Piece of Cake, No?
Well, I hope this was enough information for you all.
I miss you all terribly.
Sending my love from Montreux,
xx. S

Italyy!!

okay, as i have not updated lately, its because i am in ITALY. finally! Its so amazing, except i cannot upload photos, as its an Internet cafe thing.
Well so first i went to Padova, never heard of it? Neither had I. So we went there, but i think it was because its between Venice (the town on water) and Verona (the home to juilette, which is silly because she is a fictional character). So Venice was AMAZING. The architecture is seriously beautiful, sometimes i think Europeans are so lucky to have all this history in their country. Except, the downfall of this day was the fact that it rained, and heavily as well.
Verona was amazing, i wrote on the "love wall" and wrote "Sarah ♥ k & l" cause im so nice.
After this, we went to Roma (the capital of Italy) it was one of the most amazing cities i have ever possibly been to. The Colosseum was amazing at night, and we where about 500m away from it. Threw coins in the Trevi fountain and just walked around, we were there for five days and i learnt the bus system and everything.. :) During this we also had a visit to the Vatican City, i find that it is so strange that this is also its own country... The Vatican was already setting up for Easter and there were SOOO many chairs. The church was beautiful.
Went to Sienna yesterday, just looked around the town and such.Florance now, and saw some of Michelangelo statues, he was a talented guy that one.
well, thats all for now, soon to be EGYPT, TURKEY, GREECE.. (on a cruise, of course ;) )then back to Switzerland.

want anything? email me.

miss you all,
xx. S

.. how sad.
Well, i have written loads of postcards. and i will go to the post office this friday. i won't promise, but i will try!

Arabic Night

Last night we had an Arabic Food night, we all dressed up in long gowns, and covered our faces and hair in scarves, well kind of. The food was amazing, especially the chicken and rice, i don't know if it is in our cooking books but i will have to have a look! We all sat around on the ground, drank coffee in tea form, so it didn't actually taste like coffee, so i could drink it, and the also had dates, which actually tasted okay.
I tried everything, and everything was seriously so amazing. If you ever get the chance to try Arabic food i would recommend it to you highly.

here are some photos of the events:

^ the seating plan.
^^the seating plan.

^^ dressed up in arabic, we didn't have to just have our eyes showing, i just wanted to see how it looked.

^^ Natasha (blue), Olympia and I eating with our hands.

^^ some of the food, i was going to take photos of all the foods, but they where practically half eaten before i got to it. Here is some vegtable patties? and some salad. Also some dip for the bread.

It was such an experience, and i love tasting new foods, There where saudi girls there, because they go to the school, they taught us dancing, how to eat and a bit about their culture.

I cant wait to go to Egypt, which is classed as Middle East area.

Floral Art.

^ Every Thursday, we have floral art. Last Thursday however, we had tulips to work with. We could either choose something to make from a magazine to go with or create something from our imagination.
I choose to create something from my mind, and here is the result, back and front.

^^ the front.

^^the back.

they are however, both identical from the back and front pretty much.
what do you think of it?
