Gstaad

Okay, so today i went to Gstaad. It wasn't as good as Andermatt, but hey, skiing is skiing.
Except, i think i have something wrong with my left foot, as when i am in the ski boots my foot hurts, but once skiing, i am fine.
So, i went skiing with Cynthia, who is in photos from Andermatt, anyways, Gstaad was very poorly marked and we found ourselves accidentally going down a black slope. except, don't worry, i am SOO GOOOD that i didn't fall, seriously, we didn't fall down on the black, except i fell down on the blue ;) haha.
We then went down the black slope by choice, and although it took a long time, i feel like it was an accomplishment, i mean i have only been skiing for what? a month now?

^^ the black slope, doesn't look that steep, but you have to remember the photo makes it stretch out or something...

^^ me with the view from Gstaad.
^^ a Polaroid i took with my camera.

missyou, and i hope everybody is saying goodbye to christine before she leaves ;)
oh, i heard there was a special day coming up as well ...

Dubai #3

Okay, here are some more photos.. Hope everything is well ;)

^^ here is cynthia and i in the sand dunes, after we went on safari tours.

^^here, if you can see, are what we were in driving around the desert.
it was quite rough and i wouldn't recommend for people with motion sickness or injuries.

^^in the sand, it felt so nice without shoes.

^^ camels are quite ugly, but i still like them.
i find it amazing they can go without water for 50 days.
luckily, we got to ride some..

^^sorry, the image is quite bad quality, but i am in the grey.
it is quite scary to get down from these, as they first go down on their front legs,
then their hind legs.
^^ sandboarding, its much easier than skiing actually,
but i love skiing more.

^^this here is henna, i don't know how it is spelt, but its a bracelet, and it turns a light brown.
i also got my name in Arabic on my foot...

^^the bracelet and my name, however they read from right to left.
cultures sure are amazing.

So the past few days have been quite amazing, i am sitting in the airport writing this to you as soon i go back to Switzerland, which is quite sad... which is also amazing that i am saying that it is sad to go back to another amazing place. Its just i feel like i didn't get to stay here long enough.

Well, we had tours of Dubai and Abeu Dahbi, both in the country of Emirates, which i didn't know existed.
So i learnt that married men wear a long white robe, and then the women wear black, where the husbands choose if they want her to cover just her hair, her face except eyes or everything. However they have beaches where it is aloud women & children only, where our tour guild said its the day they can enjoy themselves fully which i find very interesting don't you?

Anyways, i love Dubai, and i have brought a lamp, i am hoping there will be genie inside or something. haha.

^^ the biggest mall. EVER.
seriously.

Dubai#2

So Dubai is AMAZING. although the culture is different, as it is in many countries, here in Emirates it is just so nice, the people are nice and the hotel staff are nice. Everything is really beautiful, really.

here are some photos of my trip so far..

^^ here is one of the palaces we saw.. its so beautiful.. we took photos in front of it, and as that was happening, a car crash happened near it. nobody was hurt but.

^^ this is louise and i near one of the new buildings out in the beach, it was built out on the beach, which makes it one of the most used buildings in postcards, so much they photoshop it in.

^^ this here is another building, exept in Abu Dahbu.

^^ Natalia and i on the boat cruise we went on for dinner.

^^ and here is a building we passed on the bus.

hope you enjoy the photos.

But thats fine, becauuuseeeee... IM GOING TO DUBAI. :)

Montreux

Well, lets see,
I went to the circus last night, it was so amazing as the performers where from all around the world, i would post photos but unfortunately we where unable to take them...

guys, you should all get SKYPE. google & download it because then you can talk to me on sarah.jayne.keck :)

ANYWAYS. it has been snowing, a fair bit here, its quite pretty but makes it quite depressing... haha. i was going to take a photo from my balcony but i forgot, but here is a view from my balcony when its a clear day.

^^ so yes its fairly amazing.

So i went for a walk to Montreux and then caught a train to Vevey, a town close by and we found such a beautiful carousel, that we couldn't help but take photos, and then well we got kicked off, but here's a photo.

the detail is just amazing if you can see it close enough.

have been going to IVP, which is very interesting and my favourite class is Etiquette, because we learn all about different ways of greeting people, for example, in Nigeria if you wish to say " hi" one of their slang words is "how far". Which is .. interesting.

^^ here is my roommate natasha and i dressing up for IVP, this was the day we thought journalists where coming, so we wanted to look REALLY IVP, but usually we just wear a coat, slacks, turtleneck, dresses, skirts or leggings and a dress shirt.

^^ this was the other day in cooking class, we made the BEST choc-chip cookies imaginable, seriously, adding walnuts is a really good idea.

i know i should write more. i really will send you all postcards, sorry!!

Photos

okay, so here are some photos from andermatt, which i miss quite a bit because it was so amazingly beautiful...

here^^ was the last day skiing, and fog was coming down from the mountain. it was really amazing, kind of looked like a waterfall, by the time we reached the end of the last mountain, there was so much fog, we couldn't see anything..

skiing with cynthia; was amazing.
this was the last day, and we got so many photos with everthing, especially the landscape...

i really really really love this photo.
this was the day of the test, and there where like 80 girls and i was the second, so i had a while for everybody to finish the race.
(i came thirrdd) :)

^ a snowman, a really really bad one,

i (L) skiing.

this photo was taken when i went snow walking, it got up to my knees and none of the group thought it would be hard. This was just bare trees, i really like this photo.

missyouall,,

Montreux

I'm back in Montreux.
School starts tomorrow.. so I'm not sure how that will go but i have signed up for photography and painting, but not sure if i will like them.

ANYWAYS...
we had a skiing test, i got 26 points, which was okayyy, but like it was such a boring test that i didn`t really have to do much..
then i got a bronze medal for coming third in the race out of my group, which was pretty impressive, and technically, i came second because the girl who came first, had poles to start her off at the start. haha.

i miss Andermatt, cause skiing was so much fun and i cant wait to do it again.. the girls here, where thinking of going back one weekend to ski there.

its currently snowing and I'm not going to be going outside.
ill send you all postcards later.

its only TWO weeks until DUBAI -.- omg.
